ADR Machine Operator
The ADR Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the sorting and defect removal equipment. Additionally, the ADR Machine Operator performs preventative maintenance, diagnostic checks, and routine adjustments on line equipment.
Batter Operator
The Batter Operator operates and maintains all equipment related to the application, removal, and recovery of batter. The Batter Operator also ensures ingredients and formulations outlined in the product specifications are followed correctly.
Control Room Operator
The Control Room Operator monitors PLC (RS View) to ensure areas are responding as specified for all productions lines. Additionally, the Control Room Operator records period information and maintains the Production Log, which enables supervisors and managers to make more informed decisions.
Cutting Champion
The Cutting Champion is responsible for managing all operations related to blade sharpening.
Dock Attendant
The Dock Attendant is responsible for unloading potatoes from trucks and dispersing the raw potatoes to the predetermined holding bins.
Forklift Operator – Inventory Control / Receiving
The Forklift Operator – Inventory Control/Receiving is responsible for ensuring that truck loads of supplies that come into the warehouse are accurate and transferred from the delivery trucks to the appropriate storage areas. This requires accurate entries into the computerized inventory tracking system.
Forklift Operator – Packaging
The Forklift Operator – Packaging is responsible for ensuring efficient movement of Production’s cribs of bulk product, pallets, and supplies within the factory.
General Cleanup
General Cleanup employees are responsible for ensuring that the factory equipment and work areas are continuously clean and sanitary, which requires knowledge and skill with cleaning agents, cleaning equipment, and cleaning tools.
Ingredient Mixer Attendant – Tater Tots
The Ingredient Attendant (Tater Tots) is responsible for ensuring that the proper blend of ingredients are combined with quality product by weighing and blending ingredients in prescribed proportions and mixing the blend into the line flow.
Ingredient Mixing Attendant – Batter Line
The Ingredient Mixer Attendant (Batter Line) is responsible for ensuring the proper mix of ingredients are combined to formulate a consistent batter for application to the potato products.
IQF Cutter Operator
The IQF Cutter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining specialty IQF (hash browns) cutting equipment in a manner that ensures quality potato products are produced for final packaging.
IQF Processing Operator
The IQF Processing Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the IQF (hash brown) processing systems. Additionally, the IQF Processing Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling product line flow to the specialty lines.
IQF Systems Operator – Packaging
The IQF Systems Operator is responsible for ensuring that quality hash browns products are packaged efficiently, while meeting quality specifications for those products.
Materials Inventory Champion
The Materials Inventory Champion oversees Dry Storage Warehouse personnel to ensure personnel are carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures while adhering to any applicable laws.
Materials Management Lead Person
The Materials Management Lead Person oversees Dry Storage Warehouse employees, while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures while adhering to any applicable laws.
Oil Utility Operator
The Oil Utility Operator is responsible for ensuring that they fryer operators are furnished with the needed amount and type of oil required to produce the scheduled products, which requires the Oil Utility Operator monitor and transfer oil as required.
Optical Equipment Lead
The Optical Equipment Lead is responsible for performing daily assessment of machine operations, periodic machine performance testing and adjustment, planning and scheduling routine machine maintenance and responding to machine problems.
Packaging Lead
The Packaging Lead coordinates employees in the packaging department while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Shaker Room Attendant
The Shaker Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that only quality potato products are allowed to proceed to final packaging through monitoring and analysis of the quality attributes of product exiting the freeze tunnels.
Packaging Line Operator
The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for ensuring that quality products are packaged efficiently while meeting quality specifications for the packaging of products. Packaging Line Operators are also responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting packaging line and case sealing equipment.
Palletizer Operator
The Palletizer Operator is responsible for ensuring that the finished products are properly palletized and stacked by operating the palletizing conveyor equipment, inventory coding equipment, stretch wrap equipment, and forklift.
Peeler Operator
The Peeler Operator is responsible for dispersing a consistent supply of quality potatoes by operating the blending systems, weigh systems, pre-treating systems, and peeling systems.
Prime Cutter Operator
The Prime Cutter Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating potato cutting machines in order to meet the proper quality expectations for each product.
Prime Fryer Operator
The Prime Fryer Operator is responsible for ensuring the quality specifications for fried products are met by operating and maintaining the fryer system and associated line equipment.
Prime Packaging Champion
The Prime Packaging Champion coordinates employees in the packaging department while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Prime Packaging Champion must be able to operate equipment on the Prime Packaging Lines and coordinating operation of all Prime Packaging Lines.
Production Support Assistant
The Production Support Assistant coordinates employees in the packaging department while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Additionally, the Production Support Assistant is responsible for various activities in both processing and packaging, including monitoring, assisting, training, scheduling, and coordinating specified employees.
Production Utility Operator
The Production Utility Operator is responsible for performing all equipment operator functions in the absence of regular operators. Production Utility Operators may be called upon to act as a Fryer Operator, Peeler Operator, Cutter Operator, Dock Attendant, ADR Machine Operator, Packaging Line Operator, IQF Systems Operator, Shaker Room Attendant, Forklift Operator, Palletizer Operator, and more.
Shift Training Coordinator
The Shift Training Coordinator is responsible to facilitate training on his/her home shift, which includes creating and updating training manuals for each position, development, maintenance and training of SOP’s, JSA’s, One Point Lessons, and tracking training.
Sorter Inspector
The Sorter Inspector is responsible for trimming, inspecting, and sorting line flow while removing major defects and/or foreign material from potatoes or potato products to ensure size, color, and shape fall within quality parameters. The Sorter Inspector is an entry-level position at McCain Foods.
SSHB Blancher Attendant
The SSHB (Southern Style Hash Brown) Blancher Attendant is responsible for maintaining proper cut sizes, blancher speed, and temperature. Additionally, the SSHB Blancher Attendant is responsible for maintaining and sanitizing the SSHB line equipment and freezer belt.
Tater Tot Fryer Operator
The Tater Tot Fryer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the Tater Tot processing and frying systems, which requires monitoring and ensuring product is meeting quality specifications.
SAP Specialist
The SAP Specialist manages, tracks, and scans documents in the Production Department to reconcile materials issued to the process work orders while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Senior Production Manager
The Senior Production Manager is responsible for the production, quality, sanitation, safety and production planning operations of the Burley Plant, manage within the approved operating budgets and quality / sanitation guidelines required of the facility. Additionally, the Senior Production Manager is required to provide positive and proactive leadership to all cost, quality, sanitation, and safety improvement efforts.
Production Manager
The Production Manager ensures established standards for safety, quality, and costs of production are maintained and results are delivered against specific improvement goals by effectively planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the operations of the plant. Additionally, the Production Manager develops and manages processes and systems to meet current and future business needs.
Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor is responsible for effective utilization and management of employees and raw materials throughout processing and packing in order to produce quality finished products.
Shift Manager
The Shift Manager organizes, schedules, monitors, and audits production line activities to ensure conformance to established requirements regarding cost, quality, productivity, safety, sanitation, and employee competence. Additionally, the Shift Manager ensures uniform application and interpretation of established SOPs, specifications, shift-to-shift congruency, and coordination of employee training.
Production Manufacturing Trainee
The Production Manufacturing Trainee (PMT) program is aimed at providing high potential, talented graduates a strong foundation for understanding McCain’s business to develop into future leaders for McCain. PMT’s will be paired closely with senior experienced subject matter experts within McCain operations and plant teams to learn all aspects of the manufacturing process.
Process Operator
The Process Operator is responsible for performing all equipment, analytical, and general operator functions within the following process areas: peeling, cutting, defect removal and sorting, frying, and batter operations. When specific operator functions are not assigned, incumbent is responsible for ensuring all assigned factory equipment and work areas are continuously clean and sanitary.
Operations Maintenance Manager
The basic purpose of the Operations Maintenance Manager position is to supervise operations and maintenance staff to ensure effective utilization and management of finished product and safe execution of high quality maintenance preventive and repair work.
Packaging Operator
The Packaging Operator is responsible for all equipment and general operator functions within the packaging area of Plant Three, including packaging line operation and shaker room operation. When specific operator functions are not assigned, the Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring all assigned factory equipment and work areas are continuously clean and sanitary.
